Location

This well-restored medieval property is located on the periphery of a medieval hilltop village in the heart of both the UNESCO wine zone and the Triangolo d'Oro - the golden triangle between the towns of Asti, Alba and Acqui Terme.

The village has basic infrastructure - a restaurant, a pizzeria, and a well-stocked grocery store - all within walking distance of the house. The larger towns of Nizza Monferrato, Canelli and Acqui Terme are less than 10 km away.

House

The property is located in a small, little used lane and enjoys a wonderful south-facing position and a fantastic view. It comprises two stone houses that enclose a small courtyard, connected together by a roofed passageway. A large gate leads from the side street into the courtyard, in which parking is possible. To optimize the available space, day rooms are located in one of the two stone houses, while the bedrooms and bathrooms are housed in the other. An outdoor terrace with magnificent views, next to the kitchen, provides a convenient area for dining and relaxation.

The two buildings were extensively renovated a few years ago - the historic character has been carefully preserved and restored. Only high-quality materials - including natural stone, chestnut wood and antique bricks - were used, and today the property offers contemporary living spaces on several levels.

Accommodation
House 1

A few steps lead from the courtyard into an anteroom with a staircase to the first floor. There is a large bedroom with a private bathroom on the ground floor, plus another bathroom and two large bedrooms on the first floor.

House 2

Separated from house 1 by the small enclosed courtyard, house 2 is home to the day rooms. On the ground floor there is a very spacious country kitchen with a large dining area, an open fireplace and doors that open to the outdoor dining area. A staircase leads from the kitchen to the large living room on the first floor; here there is another open fireplace, and an open beamed ceiling gives the space a light and airy feel.

The small, ancient wine cellar under the courtyard is reached by a staircase set into the courtyard.

Services: central heating, mains electricity and water

Garden

The property has a sloping, terraced garden. A staircase leads from the paved courtyard to the upper terrace, which includes another outdoor seating area: from there stairs lead down to the large lower terrace with its infinity swimming pool. The modern pool measures 10 x 5 m and seems to float above the landscape beyond: a large sun terrace, including an outdoor shower, surrounds it on three sides. In addition, the lower terrace is home to a lockable portico with a small summer kitchen and barbecue.

Our personal opinion: this very high-quality renovated property is a perfect holiday home with excellent vacation rental potential - the demand for such rental properties is very high. If desired, the property can also be bought furnished - you could move in with just a suitcase.
